PDF to Word & Word to PDF Converter

Turn PDFs into editable Word documents (with OCR for scans) or turn Word files into PDFs • 100% free • Your files never leave your device

1. Scanned pages (OCR)
The first OCR run downloads the OCR engine and the language data (a few MB), which are then cached.
2. Document layout

2. Good to know
Only .docx files are supported. If you have an old .doc file, open it in Word and choose Save As .docx first. The direct PDF uses standard fonts (Arial-style, Times-style and Courier-style) and supports English and other Latin-alphabet text. For Nepali, Hindi, Chinese, Arabic and other scripts, use Print / Save as PDF on the result, which keeps every language and your computer's fonts. Headers, footers, text boxes, equations and tracked changes are not converted.
What to expect (PDF to Word)
Text, headings, bold, italic, alignment, bullets and paragraphs are rebuilt as real Word text you can edit. Scanned pages are read with OCR. Tables, multi-column pages and complex layouts become plain text lines, so expect some tidying in Word. Password-protected PDFs are not supported. Limits: 60 MB, 300 pages, and 100 OCR pages per run.
